Austin received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee in 2021 in a design program known for parametric modeling and digital fabrication. During this period, he diligently undertook summer internships at various architectural firms, thereby establishing a tangible link between his academic pursuits and real-world applications. His academic background and professional exposure fostered an early awareness of his responsibilities as a designer.
In his early career, Austin immersed himself in residential and tourism design in Tennessee, gaining a strong foundation in the intricate art of design and the impact of small details in architecture. Later, he transitioned to a diverse workplace handling various projects, from civic, commercial, hospitality, sports arena, non-profit, historical, adaptive re-use, master planning and private residential projects. Managing this variety of clientele taught him the importance of adaptability in the design world and the continual value of learning from others' expertise.
At the Workshop, Austin applies his knowledge and experience to the day-to-day design development, documentation, and project delivery with a deep commitment to his clients, colleagues, and projects.
