This conceptual design reimagines a historic storefront in downtown Lewisburg, Tennessee, into a dynamic, multi-level residence while preserving its commercial charm. The basement level includes both a crawl space and a low-clearance area, maximizing every inch of usable space. Above, the main level introduces a small retail space honoring the original commercial roots, followed by a newly created residential portion of the loft—complete with a bedroom, bathroom, and cozy living area.

Moving upstairs, an open-concept kitchen flows seamlessly into a spacious living room, framed by tall windows that capture sweeping views of downtown Lewisburg and the recently restored Marshall County Courthouse. Beyond that, the master suite features a free-standing tub, walk-in shower, private toilet room, and ample closet space. Crowning the design is a rooftop deck—ideal for enjoying the sights and energy of downtown Lewisburg. Guided by the design team’s expertise, this loft concept proves how thoughtful planning can breathe new life into a commercial space—merging local heritage and modern style to fulfill the owner’s vision.
