This new public safety facility will allow the Police Department to exist in their own dedicated facility located more centrally to their community. This facility is an example of a complex building that aggregates a variety of users and space types into a consolidated and clearly organized environment. The facility provides spaces for patrol officers, detectives, and administration, as well as a 911 dispatch center, evidence storage, evidence processing lab, and photography. There are extensive training facilities included in the building. The public is welcomed in a secure public lobby with the departmental records department, community room, and municipal courtroom directly connected to the lobby.

The upper level is entered at grade on the rear, allowing officers direct access to the departmental offices, workspaces, staff lockers and break room, centrally located staff commons, and briefing room.

The public interacts with the department as they enter on the lower level directly into the public lobby, with direct access to records clerks and the community court and meeting room. The balance of the floor is composed of training facilities and evidence storage. Training facilities include a lecture classroom, defensive tactics practice room, virtual scenario simulation, and six-lane tactical firearms range. The facilities have become a resource for the department and surrounding local, state, and federal agencies.

The new emergency call center was constructed with room to expand for the coming decades. Lastly, an ancillary structure on the ground serves as an emergency rescue site for a team of first responders and their ambulance.
